It is a useful resource if you have encountered issues in installing this software on your computer.
Adobe developed a " Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool" to help resolve installation issues that may arise when installing the Creative Cloud software. After opening the software, sign into the software with your Adobe ID, and you should be able to install and use the Adobe program(s) of your choice. To use this software on another computer, please download, install, and run the Creative Cloud desktop application onto your computer. This software can be used on two computers under a single license. If you are experiencing access issues, please contact Help Desk. You may use your account and login to to install Creative Cloud and manage your Adobe ID account. If that doesn't work, set up a time with Richard for him to do it.To ensure that the most essentials tools are available here at MICA, students/faculty/staff have access to industry-standard software. If the installer "fails because it encountered a problem", download and run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, restart the computer when the tool has done its dirty work, and run your Adobe installer package again. If the stars and planets are aligned correctly, the installer should work without a hitch. When the ZIP file has been fully downloaded, double-click on it to unzip it. You should have received an email saying that the installer ZIP file has been shared with you. Download and unzip the installer package. If you uninstall due to issues (and later want to reinstall) or if you want to resell the computer: yes, run the Cleaner tool. If you have Adobe Acrobat installed, navigate to /Applications/Adobe Acrobat DC and run Acrobat Uninstaller. Go through and run each uninstaller, leaving Adobe Creative Cloud for last. Open a Finder window and navigate to /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers. If this looks too intimidating, let Richard know and we can set up a time for you to drop off your computer and have Richard do it.
